Hope Hill is a Centre dedicated to the rehabilitation of individuals suffering from substance use disorder. Many people attempt to find release from the pressures of life by using illegal drugs or alcohol without understanding the effects or the addictive potential of these substances. Once a person develops a substance use disorder, they lose their freedom of choice and are unable to choose to face life without leaning on their substance of choice. As a result of their dependence, their lives become unmanageable and jobs are lost, relationships are destroyed and families torn apart. Substance use is a growing problem among the youth and in schools. Young people develop dependencies on illegal drugs and alcohol through giving in to peer pressure and through misguided experimentation.
People who develop substance abuse problems often loose their ability to legally provide and turn to crime as a means to raise the funds needed to support their addictions. Young people who are unable to finish school because of substance use disorder(s) enter the increasingly competitive job market without a proper education and lose out on opportunities. Hope Hill Rehabilitation Centre offers in-patient treatment and re-integration programs in aid of combating substance use disorders and reducing the harm caused by these substances.
